Signature Events

The Center hosts several signature events each year that bring together thousands of philanthropists, activists, creatives, and community members to raise funds that go toward providing vital services and programs to New York's LGBTQ+ community. Our events help increase awareness of vital issues, raise critical funds, and celebrate our community.

Center Dinner

Center Dinner, our largest annual gala, brings together almost 1,000 supporters of The Center, making the event one of the largest gatherings of the LGBTQ+ community and allies in the NYC area.

Broadway Backwards

Broadway Backwards is an annual celebration of LGBTQ+ stories told through the great songs of musical theater. The star-studded benefit performance is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and funds the life-saving programs and services of both BC/EFA and The Center.

Fashion Centered

Fashion Centered is a unique invitation-only dinner that has brought together fashion industry leaders since 2013. Each year, this event, featuring an exclusive performance, raises funds for our vital programs here at The Center.

Now in its eighth year, the dinner was founded to provide a safe and brave space for queer LGBTQ+ Muslims and allies to break fast during Ramadan with gender-neutral prayer, education, storytelling, culturally responsive entertainment, and delicious food.
