SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT FOR ADULTS

Are you struggling with sobriety, or do you know someone who is? The Center offers the only New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) licensed, outpatient substance use treatment program specifically designed for the LGBTQIA+ community. Using an abstinence-based model, The Center’s recovery program is a medically supervised, intensive program for substance use and dependence.

Clients receive an individualized treatment plan, weekly one-on-one counseling, and facilitated group support. The Center’s recovery services include:

  • Individual and group counseling
  • Alcohol and substance use education
  • Biopsychosocial assessments
  • Community outreach and education
  • Medical assessments
  • DUI assessments
  • Psychiatric evaluations and psychotropic
  • Recovery maintenance
  • Supportive counseling for significant others

Screening, intake, medical assessment and counselor assignment are required for all group participants. Center Recovery accepts Medicaid, including Managed Care Plans, and private insurance (currently Cigna, GHI, Aetna, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Value Options, and CHCS) in addition to out-of-network reimbursement and sliding scale payment options. Length of treatment is assessed on a case-by-case basis, but generally lasts 6-12 months, with the first three months being more intensive.

If you, or someone you know, is at least 18 years of age and would like to lead a healthier, sober life, The Center is here to help.

SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT FOR YOUTH

The Center’s outpatient substance use treatment program for youth is designed specifically to help LGBTQIA+ young people, ages 13 and older, make healthy decisions about drugs and alcohol. MetroCards and snacks are available, and incentives can be earned when treatment benchmarks are met.

Center Recovery accepts Medicaid, including Managed Care Plans, and private insurance (currently Cigna, GHI, Aetna, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Value Options, and CHCS) in addition to out-of-network reimbursement and sliding scale payment options.
