From dealing with anxiety and depression to facing bereavement, eating disorders, and self-harming behavior, The Center’s mental health services team is here to help you manage your mental health.
Given the demand for accessible LGBTQ+ affirming mental health services, The Center provides psychotherapy and training services that include:
Youth Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy for youth (13+), adults, relationships, and families
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Psychodynamic, insight-based, trauma-informed therapy
Behavioral Therapy
Behavioral therapy (CBT, DBT, mindfulness)
Psychiatric Evaluation
Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
Letters of support (gender affirming procedures, asylum cases).
Languages: English, French, Spanish.
We accept Medicare, Medicaid, most commercial insurances, and income-based sliding scale.
Intakes for The Center's one-on-one mental health counseling are currently closed. Please email counseling@gaycenter.org with questions or to receive referrals.
For families who are seeking support around their child’s sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
Affirming support for families to better understand and accept their child’s coming out process and/or developing identity, for families with children 5+ and up.
Intakes for The Center's family therapy are temporarily paused.
