In 1953 Carson McCullers (The Member of the Wedding) arrived for an unplanned visit with Lillian Smith (Strange Fruit) and Paula Snelling at their home in the Georgia mountains. Would this be a reunion of old friends, or a clash of egos and ambitions? In the end it was a life-changing visit for all three women.
