Fire Ensemble Open Rehearsal

Fire Ensemble is an intergenerational choir community dedicated to using song and ritual as tools for collective liberation centering BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folx.
Join The Fire Ensemble, a pop-up choir community, for our 10-week Spring Session starting March 11 from 6-8 p.m. at The Shed.
For the first sessions, we will meet weekly The Shed followed by a 3-week residency at The Center starting April 22. Never sung in a choir before? That’s okay! We are ready to welcome you in!
This session, we will be taking our rehearsal practice to the next level by recording an album of our first show The Revival: It Is Our Duty. Please feel free to drop-in for one or all of the rehearsals!
ABOUT THIS COLLABORATION
Led by creative director Troy Anthony, The Fire Ensemble is an intergenerational choir community for New Yorkers currently being incubated by The Shed in partnership with The Center. With the intention of exploring new ways of collaborating with artists at the intersection of artistic practice and community-building, The Shed will provide space, resources, and strategic consultation to this project and its members, and count on them for creative leadership and thought partnership.
