Center Holiday Brave & Bright

Donate to The Center this Holiday

Happy Holidays from your friends at The Center! With every gathering and every act of care, our community shines with courage. Thank you for donating to support our work for all LGBTQ+ New Yorkers.

Young people will be at the forefront of our continued fight for LGBTQ+ liberation. That’s why Center Youth programs are so important. Our programs are not only life-affirming, but through simple acts, can even be life-saving. For trans and queer youth who are unhoused, having somewhere to be with snacks can make all the difference. The Center’s relentless commitment to providing year-round support to young people allows them to feel empowered and safe.

Since its doors first opened, The Center has always been on the front lines, responding to the most urgent needs of our community. I have learned this personally through my years of involvement with Cycle for the Cause. The need to act is rearing its ugly head again—just as it did in the 1990s. I know The Center will be there in the fight. The Center’s unwavering commitment to swiftly respond to the needs of our community is always present and self-evident, even as the needs of LGBTQ+ people change over time.

My involvement with The Center—as an advocate and fundraiser—fuels a relentless mission for equity and justice. Representation matters and showing up for The Center offers me the opportunity to be an activist, to stand alongside others, and make a difference by increasing the representation of Black and Brown men in partnership with The Center’s work. At the core of the fight is community, laughter, and friendship. Together, we can accomplish anything.
