This collection is an accumulation of letters, pamphlets, flyers, and correspondences between NetGALA, its branches, and the members of these organizations.

History or Bio

The Network of Gay and Lesbian Alumni/ae Associations, or NetGALA, is an organization of associations that provides national leadership and support to Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual alum groups and is a clearing-house for information and ideas. Charles Edwards was the chair for NetGALA. NetGALA was founded as the non-profit Northeastern Gay and Lesbian Alumni/ae Association in 1985. In a New York conference, it expanded and changed its name accordingly. NetGALA disseminates information about lesbian and gay alum groups, issues, and activities though a directory, quarterly newsletter, and pamphlets. NetGALA also sponsors conferences addressing issues concerning gay, lesbian, and bisexual alums, and NetGALA lends assistance to newer alum groups.
