Scope and Content
A collection primarily of flyers for New York City gay men’s nightclubs and bars. The main nightclubs include Studio 54, The Saint, Palladium, Tunnel and Limelight. The flyers showcase many performing artists popular at the time including Grace Jones, Eartha Kitt, Chico de Barge, Stacey Q, Paul Lekakis and Divine. The collection also includes flyers and newsletters from other gay organizations such as SAGE and Gay Men’s Health Crisis as well as some personal letters, private party invitations and gym membership flyers.
