These materials were collected by Ron Illardo and donated by him in May, 1990.

Scope and Content

The Illardo collection is an artificial collection comprised of a variety of literature dealing with the gay liberation movement in New York City and nationally. It consists primarily of pamphlets, handbills, articles, publicity materials, etc. issued by various organizations. The bulk of the material was issued between 1980 and 1989, although there are some materials which date to the 1970s.

History or Bio

Ron Illardo was active in the New York City gay liberation movement. He was an official of East Village Lesbian and Gay Neighbors in the 1980s.
