The Center’s physical and mental health services represent a holistic approach to wellness and vitality for the LGBTQ+ community. Our professional, multidisciplinary treatment team is comprised of licensed social workers and mental health counselors, Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC), a registered nurse, and a psychiatrist.

Substance Use Treatment

The Center is also home to New York’s only licensed outpatient substance use treatment program specifically designed for the LGBTQ+ community. The program accepts all major insurance plans along with Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care plans. Self-pay options are also available.

Free HIV & Hep C Testing Available

We offer free, confidential HIV and Hepatitis C testing weekly in the Keith Haring Community Wing.

Mental Health Therapy at The Center

Through its licensed mental health clinic, The Center provides long-term mental health therapy to LGBTQ+ adults, adolescents, and families. As demand for LGBTQ+-affirming mental health services continues to rise, The Center’s clinic, opened in June 2025, represents a bold and necessary expansion in care.
