Young Leaders of The Center
The Young Leaders of The Center is a community-building organization dedicated to philanthropy, volunteerism, and networking for the next generation of Center advocates, donors, and community leaders.
The Young Leaders’ guiding pillars are:
- Philanthropy: Raise funds to support The Center and its programs through membership fees, YL fundraising events, and participation in Center events.
- Volunteerism: Support Center initiatives and other community organizations by giving our time.
- Networking: Increase awareness of The Center among young LGBTQ New Yorkers and allies by educating themselves about Center programs, partnering with other organizations in the community, and facilitating networking events among existing members.
An entry level YL membership starts at $150/year (or $12.50/mo) and includes the following benefits:
- Invitations to special Center events year round
- Subscription to Center Happenings, our bi-weekly e-newsletter
- Team training opportunities for Cycle for the Cause
- Eligibility for participation on the Young Leaders Council
- Exclusive opportunities to volunteer at Center events and programs
YOUNG LEADERS COUNCIL
The Young Leaders Council is an active and diverse group of young New Yorkers committed to The Center and its work. The Council advises Center staff and board members and develops programming to engage its demographic as Center supporters, members, volunteers and leaders.
