Creativity and Collaboration through Shrines

In the Creativity and Collaboration Through Shrines workshop, participants will help create life-size shrines of each character in “Dust Vanishes Away,” a new play by theater collective People of the Chaotic Period. By creating life-size shrines of the actors, the final product aims to engage their presence beyond their physical role in the project. The goal is to include the community in creating elements of the production that call for collaboration and whose creation can be a means of spiritual, mental or emotional healing. All artists welcome. Guided instructional videos will be distributed at a later date by Revolución Latina.
Facilitated by Dani Sanchez, the workshop is presented in collaboration with the Loisaida Center and will take place at the Loisaida Center. The workshop is limited to 10 participants total, being divided into two groups of five to be safe and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Each group of five will attend the workshops in shifts, with the first group of five attending the morning session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the second group attending the afternoon session of 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
