Formerly known as “the annex,” The Keith Haring Community Wing is named in recognition of Keith Haring to celebrate The Center’s connection to and rich history with Haring, and as a reminder of the collective power of our community. In the fall of 2020, The Keith Haring Foundation auctioned Haring’s personal collection of art, featuring works by renowned community-based creatives and street artists, to raise funds benefiting The Center. This substantial gift of $3.7 million is the largest gift The Center has ever received and helps position The Center for future generations. It was especially important to both The Center and The Haring Foundation that the name include “community,” as the money raised was from a community of artists and activists of which Keith was a part, not just from himself.
Please note that in the interest of health and safety, the lunch will be limited to guests who are able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
