Unity of New York: Gay Men’s Group

June 20, 2018, 7:15 pm-8:45 pm

Topic: Authenticity
“Always be a first rate version of yourself instead of a second rate version of someone else.”  Judy Garland
It is Pride Month!  Part of our pride is living an authentic and true life for ourselves.  The Marches through out the years were all about celebrating who we are and how we express ourselves in our every day life.  We often mask our feelings, our spiritual selves, our insecurities, the way we express and we often hide behind things.  Are we true to ourselves?  What does it mean to be a gay man now?  What are some of the innate qualities gay men have that we can draw on?  What does authenticity mean to us?  How do we embrace a spiritual side authentically?
We meet every other week to talk about being gay and topics of spirituality.  This is NOT a group about religion. This is a great way to connect with other men who have an interest in spirituality. We chat about spirituality and have an opportunity to meet other gay men with similar interests. Our group is about exploring your own spirit and sharing ideas with others.
All gay, bisexual, curious, questioning men, and gay FTM’s are welcome.
