About Charles Kaiser
Kaiser is the author of three books, the Acting Director of the The LGBTQ Policy Center at Hunter College and a nonfiction book critic for The Guardian US. He is a former reporter for The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal and a former press critic for Newsweek. He was a founder and former president of the New York chapter of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. He has taught journalism at Columbia and Princeton, where he was the Ferris Professor of Journalism.
About June Thomas
Thomas is the senior managing producer of the Slate Podcast Network. In her 22 years at Slate she has been the copy chief, managing editor, foreign editor and a writer on TV and culture, and launched Outward, Slate’s LGBTQ section, with Bryan Lowder. She is one of the hosts of The Waves, Slate’s podcast about gender and feminism.
