#LightThe Fight

December 1, 2018, 4:30 pm-6:30 pm

On World AIDS Day, Saturday, December 1st, 2018, #LightTheFight will kick-off at dusk (5:00pm) with an
interactive ceremony and performance at the New York City AIDS Memorial Park.

Immediately following, a fleet of trucks replete with electronic signs will #LightTheFight,
presenting traces of the history and impact of AIDS in New York City. World-renowned visual artist,
Jenny Holzer, will animate texts for the #LightTheNight procession with writings by poets, activists,
educators, artists, and the positive, reflecting and reporting the AIDS epidemic.

The #LightTheFight procession will wind through the city, lingering at historically significant sites,
eventually splitting off to travel across Manhattan.

The Whitney

SVA Theater

125th St, Harlem

Times Square (via Columbus Ave)
