Global Peer Support Day: Advocacy Speed Dating.

October 23 @ 11:30 am - 3:00 pm

Hi Housing Works family!

Back in May, we hosted an Advocacy Speed Dating event in Albany—and it was a hit! We're excited to bring it back, this time in New York City.

WHAT: Global Peer Support Day: Advocacy Speed Dating

WHEN: Thursday, October 23, 2025

WHERE: LGBTQ+ Center, 208 West 13th Street

TIME: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

This event connects elected officials with people whose lives have been shaped by HIV, homelessness, substance use, systemic racism, and trauma and more. Through short, powerful conversations with various elected officials, we’ll highlight lived experience and the real-world impact of proposed federal budget cuts.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Attend the event – Your presence and voice matters.
  • Invite clients/participants – Especially those with firsthand experiences.
  • Support their prep – We can schedule a joint prep day to help folks feel confident and safe sharing their stories.
  • Food, drinks, and good people—advocacy thrives on community.

See attached flyer for information. Please print and post for those without emails.
