THE CENTER LIBRARY

Named in honor of individuals who championed LGBT causes in their professional and personal lives, The Pat Parker/Vito Russo Center Library is a valued and unique community resource. It was founded in 1991 to expand access to LGBT literature and to encourage and facilitate research of LGBT issues. Visitors come to research topics, browse the collection and borrow books and videos.

BUREAU OF GENERAL SERVICES - QUEER DIVISION

The Center is proud to host the Bureau of General Services—Queer Division to offer original and provocative artistic programming for all of LGBT NYC. The Bureau is a queer cultural center, bookstore, and event space that seeks to excite and educate a self-confident, sex-positive, and supportive queer community. It hosts readings, performances, film screenings, book discussion groups, and workshops to provide an open and inclusive space for dialogue and socializing. The Bureau is hosted by The Center in room 210.
