Scope and Content
Conference Program and Resource Book for participants in the Second National Conference on Lesbian and Gay Legal Issues, held in Atlanta, Georgia, Oct. 5-8, 1990 and sponsored by the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association. Conference agenda focused on strategies for legal professionals and advocacy by legal professionals regarding issues of AIDS and Public Policy, Civil Rights & Immigration Law, Criminal Law, Employment Law, Family Law. Resource Book includes schedule of workshops and events and some ancillary resource materials on legal issues for workshop attendees. Also includes a program guide to Sodomy Reform Law Conference held concurrently with Lavender Law II.
History or Bio
Founded in 1987, the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association (NLGLA) is a national association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals, law students, activists, and affiliated lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender legal organizations. NLGLA promotes justice in and through the legal profession for the LGBT community in all its diversity.
