Jeffrey H. Apter Papers

Record:125
Date:1980 - 1990
Size:8 inches

Provenance

This collection was donated by Apter’s estate (Gary H. Wright, executor).

Scope and Content

This is largely a collection of Apter’s poetry.  One file contains his personal documents, including his birth certificate, death certificate and passport, as well as a brief, signed thank-you note from Igor Stravinsky for a poem Apter sent him.  This collection would be useful to researchers who are looking for poetry by LGBT authors who were largely unpublished in their lifetimes.
