Pride: Get Involved
March with the Center on Sunday!
The Center to be Grand Marshal in the 2008 NYC LGBT Pride Day March | Sunday, June 29, Noon
In honor of our 25th anniversary, The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center will serve as a grand marshal in the NYC LGBT Pride Day March. Please join the Center as we march this Sunday, June 29. The Center contingent will line up on 56th Street between 5th and Madison Avenues at 11:45AM.
Volunteers needed for Dyke March Saturday!
The Center is looking for some fabulous volunteers to help us created a presence at the 16th Annual Dyke March taking place this Saturday June 28, 2008. Our volunteers will help us by spreading the word about how amazing The Center is, collecting names for the mailing list and email blast, as well as giving out some fantastic Center Happenings, pins and stickers. The March will step off at 5pm sharp from the corner of 42nd Street and 6th Avenue. If you are interested in helping us out, please contact The Center ASAP at 212.620.7130 ext 206. Happy Pride!!

Meet new people, get involved and show your Pride.
There are many ways volunteers can get involved with the Center's Pride activities.
Here are a few of them:
- Staffing Center booths at Pridefests and events in New York City, New Jersey and Long Island
- Building our parade float
- Acting as group marshals for the Center contingent that will be marching in all five boroughs
Volunteers must attend a training before they can volunteer at an event.
